Welcome
This portfolio website is a collection of selected works and the résumé of Nicholas Gentz, as well as the insights behind each project.
Open-Source
My website is open-source. The goal of my portfolio was to create a simple, minimal, next.js portfolio site and during the creation of nickgentz.com, I realized sharing the template I created may be helpful to others. The project is open source and available under the MIT License .
Development
I built this website using ChatGPT Codex and Nextra. While AI tools were used to assist with the technical construction of this website, the content, projects, and analyses are all my own work.
Web analytics
This website utilizes Umami for analyzing website traffic, it is a privacy-focused alternative to Google Analytics. Umami is cookie-free and GDPR compliant.
Frameworks
- Nextra 4.0+
- Next.js 15.3
- Tailwind CSS
Inspirations
When starting to build my own website, I found inspiration from many different portfolios. Go check some of them out!
